Sanding & Polishing

Sanding

When sanding your floors, we use heavy-duty, professional, dust-free floorboard sanding machines to level the floor and bring the timber floor to a smooth finish.
If your flooring isn’t new, we’ll first evaluate the condition of your floors to determine whether it will need to undergo a repair or restoration process before sanding.

Polishing

Polishing your floors is not a straight forward process. We have a range of stunning timber finishes to choose from to achieve your desired look. You can choose to alter the natural timber colour with beautiful floor staining, a floor bleach to lighten the floorboards, or a lime wash floor finish for a coastal look. Or, if you love the look of the natural timber floor, you can choose to go straight to the clear coat.

Our Different Finishes

Natural Penetrating Oil

We use Livos Kunos on our own floors because as a business that is passionate about sustainability and the health of our family and the environment, we found this to be the most chemical-free product available, with 100% transparency in regards to ingredient disclosures.

Water-Based Polyurethane

We use Loba Lobadur 2K when it comes to water-based polyurethane floor polishing. This is our most popular product. It is a high-quality German-made product which meets rigorous international standards for VOC’s and environmental sustainability. Water-based finishes come in a variety of sheen levels, from extra matte, to matte, satin, and gloss.

Hard Wax

Fiddes Hard Wax Oil is our product of choice when it comes to your hard waxes. The ingredients consist of a blend of natural oils and waxes which offer outstanding durability and resistance for timber surfaces including floors, benches, furniture, and areas subjected to a high degree of wear.

Solvent-Based Polyurethane

Although restrictions are increasing on solvent-based products within educational establishments and schools, we still have this finish to offer. Some still prefer this product if they require a harder, very low-maintenance floor polish. It is durable and therefore popular around wet areas or high-traffic commercial areas.
